People in Kentucky have probably heard about autonomous cars and trucks, but they might be interested to learn that one company is working towards removing the drivers from the trucks completely. Instead of being required to remain in the trucks, the drivers would instead work remotely and control them using robotics.

According to Starsky Robotics, its system would allow truckers to enjoy more home time and better working hours. The drivers would sit in terminals and use controllers to control the trucks from a distance. The company developed a kit that can be retrofitted to trucks. This kit controls the throttle, transmission and steering of the trucks for autonomous driving.
